It’s that time of year again where the flowers have budded and the animals are frolicking, and luckily, Taronga Zoo understands just how important it is to plan an outing to the zoo at this glorious time. They also understand how live music and picnicking in the great outdoors are three things that just scream Summer, fun, family and friends. We think Mother Nature would certainly approve.
Twilight at Taronga presented by ANZ, is close to coming to an end and that’s why you need to get in fast! Soak up the last of the amazing weather and jump on the live music bandwagon for your next date night or family outing (to keep the kids happy). Twilight at Taronga is set against the stunning landscape of Sydney Harbour and is easily accessible by ferry, car or bus. Why not make a nautical experience out of it and take advantage of the free ferry that runs between Taronga Zoo and Circular Quay!

If Seeing Cute Animals Tires You Out Easily
I’m not sure if it’s humanely possible to get tired of cute animals but if you need a time-out from gaping at baby koalas eating eucalyptus leaves and seeing meerkats shuffling and scurrying around, then it’s time to grab a picnic rug and some snacks and go enjoy the musical festivities. Additionally, if you’re hanging for a glass of wine or a frothy beer – then never fear for Taronga Zoo is fully licensed and features a bar for you to enjoy some icy, cold beverages whilst watching your favourite music acts. And, if you’re not a domestic god[dess] who’s remembered to pack snacks (and lets face it, most of us aren’t), then just make your way to any one of the food outlets that have set up shop and cater for all your needs.
Additionally, if you’re feeling a little bit fancy, you can order a Taronga Zoo Hamper. The hamper for two features a selection of charcuterie, a cheese platter, a grilled chicken sandwich, dessert and more. Taronga Zoo have thought of everything and have even included a vegetarian hamper as an option. Good on ya Taronga.
You can buy a hamper when you book your tickets online. To find out more about how you can munch on prosciutto and sip on Shiraz – head here
How Are You Contributing?
All ticket sales will help to continue the conservation and protection of animals in the wild. Twilight at Taronga will also ensure that coverage is brought to The Wildlife Witness app. The app is a venture designed to fight against illegal wildlife trade and allows everyday people to report illegal proceedings such as caged animals, the selling of animal products or food in a restaurant that may be poached. If you’re an animal-lover, download the app for Apple devices here, and Android devices here.
Cute animals + wine + live music = possibly the best date night ever, and there’s still a few shows left at Twilight at Taronga, so how about you take a walk on the wild side.
