Are you a big Elton John fan? Did you see him live in concert and on the big screen, but still want more? The Grounds of Alexandria, Universal Music Australia and Bravado International have teamed up to bring you an immersive ode to the man himself in the form of a Yellow Brick Road installation. This experience captures the pure essence and individuality of the man, the myth, the legend, Sir Elton John.
Inspired by some of his most loved songs and iconic costumes, the Grounds of Alexandria has been transformed into an extravagant Elton wonderland. The installation boasts tassel archways lining the yellow brick road, feathers, flowers, neon and plenty of sweet snacks inspired by the man himself.
At the centre, a large red piano sits waiting for guests to take the stage and live their Elton John fantasy. There are also plenty of places to get some quality content for the gram’. Get an angelic snap in front of the giant pink neon wings on the yellow brick road, or take a selfie with the shiny red ‘rocket man’ rocket.
If you’re still standing after all that excitement you can visit the café and chow down on some tasty, limited edition, baked treats! Devour 4 special menu items which include a selection of three iced cookies and a vanilla sponge cake with citrus cream cheese, yellow plum confit, fresh raspberries and vanilla buttercream.
There is also a pop-up store featuring a range of exclusive Elton John merchandise, stocked with items not available at the Australian shows. You will find a specially pressed, limited edition vinyl of Elton John’s ‘Diamonds’ Greatest Hits, featuring a map of Australia embossed into the artwork. This is an essential part of the experience and fans have the opportunity to purchase merchandise that is not available anywhere else in the world.
Ending on the 22nd of March, there is a limited amount of time left to say Farewell Yellow Brick Road. This experience is a MUST for Elton John fans of all ages, so grab your Mum, Grandma, second cousin twice removed, and your weird uncle and make your way to The Grounds before time runs out.
