It’s always been forced upon us that ‘learning is fun’, and it’s true that learning can be fun, but when it’s pitted against going out with friends and letting loose it can’t even compare. But never fear, evolution is here. Learning has evolved, and right here in Sydney you can now enjoy Classes with Glasses, a wonderful idea revolving around fun-filled workshops in Surry Hills where you can learn new things, hang out with friends and BYO booze!
These classes run on Thursday nights from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm. It’s not just about having extra fun while learning at these classes, it’s a time to meet new people as well! Like-minded people who also want to bask in their high school dreams of learning whilst under the influence, or those who are just down to have a little well-earned fun on a Thursday.
Classes with Glasses is a fun experiment where you can give some fresh activities a go. Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of drawing? Perhaps screen-printing has caught your eye, or maybe you’re after a night that’s legitimately titled ‘Where have all the good men gone?’, I’ll allow you to let your mind run wild with that one. There are some very diverse options that are right and ready for you to have a tipsy crack at.
Be careful when you’re booking, as although it would be the best thing ever, not every single remaining class is BYO. But to be honest, they all sound like a fun and engaging time that can benefit your week or more! If listening rather than getting totally hands on is more your jam, Classes with Glasses also hosts talks, focusing on mindfulness, meditation, wellbeing and more. Tickets start from $59. There are limited tickets available for each class so if you’re keen on something to make sure you get in quick before you miss out.
