The Observatory
On the top level, Garden State’s Observatory is sophisticated, sensual and sexy. The name gives a hint as to what it offers you. Here, you will be able to indulge in a unique perspective of the entire venue from the outside balcony where you can look down upon the bustling Beer Garden and through the back of the 120-year-old façade into the city. Clearly, this premiere space oozes modern elegance and charm and it will make you feel as though you are on top of the world.
The natural light, exposed brick, fluted timber and glass come together to construct an open, classy space that transforms throughout the day and night. Equally, featured on the moody, burgundy walls and up high on the ceilings are decorative, intricate décor pieces that are made up of lined patterns. This repetitious use of line and pattern in different formations creates a captivating sense of space as the geometric patterns creatively fill and frame the entirety of The Observatory’s setting.
The Observatory comes equipped with exclusive lift access, a private bar, bathrooms, a data projector and screen and a dance floor. This space is available for 40 seated guests or a cocktail parties for 120.

ROSE GARDEN
Walk down the Beer Garden steps and you will magically be transported into an intimate and very pretty cocktail bar known as the Rose Garden – and yes, it is as sweet and beautiful as it sounds.
Gorgeous pink hues lace this scene including stunning rosette tonal prints on the floor. Also, the bar tops and tables are dotted with fresh rose bouquets in vintage vases, French chandeliers hang from above and the red brick walls are juxtaposed with industrial steel beams. It is just absolutely stunning! You will be living out your flora fantasy in the Rose Garden.
The Rose Garden can be completely hired for private events and cocktail parties, perfect for large stand-up events for up to 250 guests. It has lift access and comes equipped with a private bar, a dance floor, a data projector and screen and an outside terrace at the foot of the beer garden.
BEER GARDEN
Situated at the back of the Public Bar and the heart of the venue, Garden State’s Beer garden is decorated with a never-ending display of lush green foliage that connects both the ground and lower level basement levels through cascading seating zones. On the top tier of the Beer Garden you will witness the bold copper beer tanks – serving the freshest Carlton Draught direct from the brewery.Twinkling fairy lights and illuminous glowing spheres drape and fall from up above and creates an illuminating, fresh atmospheric sensation.
One can also indulge in a full service of food and beverage packages and accompanying exclusive wait staff while you socialise and have a grand old time with friends and family. The big, green trees are the protagonist of this lustrous realm and being in this space you will be embarking on a lustrous, leafy journey.
This diverse space offers a mix of seating and standing choices and is ideal for groups of 20-45 guests.
Garden Grill
Walking through a private staircase from the Rose Garden, accessible via the Beer Garden ramp you will be entering into the Garden Grill; a traditional bistro with bentwood chairs, tall windows and peach pink highlights. Echoing a modern New York grill The Garden Grill space embraces high ceilings, moody pendant lighting and raw wood metal detailing to form an exclusive, warm dining area.
This space innovatively organises the space in an orderly and methodological fashion where rouge U-shaped, cushioned booths lie at the back of this restaurant space. Also, one can also indulge themselves in freshly shucked oysters whilst sipping on quality drinks from our Aperitivo Bar.
Moody and stylish, this area is a flawless choice for seated events and networking opportunities and it can hold a maximum of 80 guests for a sit down function, or 100 for cocktail style gatherings.
The Garden Grill is closed on Mondays and reopens on Tuesdays from 5pm to late. Wednesday through to Sunday see’s it open from 12pm to late.
