One of the most debated days of the year has come around again where many are up in arms, questioning why it is exactly we have the day off to “celebrate” the “birthday” of a lady who “supposedly” governs our great nation from afar, on a date that isn’t actually her date of birth. But alas, rather than question or protest, let us embrace the day and wish the ole lass a most wonderful celebration whilst we make the most of the long weekend events Melbourne has going.

Watch and marvel as Melbourne embraces this miserably bleak winter weather, turning a sombre time into a celebration with the 10th anniversary of The Light in Winter Festival.

Delicious winter warming food and beverages are also available from an array of stalls, so do something a little bit different this long weekend and immerse yourself in a winter wonderland.
