Surprise! Wednesday nights at the Vic Markets are about to get a whole lot better, with European themed stalls and entertainment. It promises an abundance of vibrant European flavour and fun, and celebrates Europe’s unique characteristics, cultures and traditions. Launching on the 10th April until the 8th May, you can expect 5 weeks of hearty meals, diverse flavours, non-stop action and amusing entertainment. Think loud, vibrant, boisterous and cheerful vibes and expect nothing less.
Showcasing Melbourne’s diverse European roots, this event will be a European street party made up of 20 food and 20 retail stalls celebrating all of the flavour sensations Europe has to offer. Ditch that contiki, and travel across the continent as you feast on German currywurst, Portuguese barbecue, Spanish paella, Belgiumfrites and Irish Guinness wings. Don’t forget to stop by The Brexit Bar for a beer, wine or cocktail and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the night.
Amongst all the bright colours and lights, immerse yourself in cultural activities such as Polish and Ukrainian egg-dyeing just in time for Easter. Experience a glimpse of the heart of Eurovision, with weekly themed musical entertainment that will pay homage to those heart-stopping moments. Cue Lizzie McGuire belting out “this is what dreams are made of.” Sing to me Paolo!
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, there’ll also be a weekly silent disco led by très kitsch holiday tour guides so that you can boogie the night away amongst the succulent aromas and exhilarating atmosphere.
