Theeeey’re baaaaack! The Night Noodle Markets, that is. If you haven’t been before, then imagine all the sights, sounds and smells of an ‘Asian hawker market’, combined with the vibe of a large scale outdoor festival. Got it? Good, because the fourth year of this event looks set to be even better than the last three, so you’re not going to want to miss it.
As part of Melbourne’s much acclaimed Good Food Month programme, the Night Noodle Markets will see the return of faves such as Mr Miyagi, Wonderbao, Hoy Pinoy and tasty desserts from Messina, and Black Star Pastry x N2 Extreme Gelato. There will also be plenty of entertainment, including the dragon dancers, live DJs and music.
Vegetarian? Fear not, my ethical friends. Make a beeline for Bangkok Street Food, Nem N’ Nem food truck and Spanthai for vegan banh mi, vermicelli salads, corn fritters and pad see ew. Want more? Full menus are all available at goodfoodmonth.com.
For drinkers (and this being Melbourne, and almost summer, that’s most of us, right?), this year there’s an all-new Pimm’s garden in addition to the Yalumba, Thatchers and Coopers bars, all of which will feature DJs be playing into the night.
