Please note: Henry’s Burgers is now permanently closed.
Brunswick Street’s esteemed strip of vegan eateries just got its newest addition, and it’s changing the fast food game. Dubbed ‘New world Burgers’, Henry’s Burgers are reinventing what we all know and love with house made, plant-based substitutes, and there’s no compromise on taste.
Incorporating only sustainable ingredients into their menu as well as using Vegware biodegradable packaging and cutlery that’s made from plants instead of plastic, Henry’s are a part of the new wave of ethical restaurants rapidly decreasing their carbon footprint.
A double story diner built with a contemporary Australian context in mind, you’ll be surrounded by a lush array of greenery and booths to match. Open till 1am Thursday through to Saturday and 11pm every other day, this spot is fast becoming a regular go-to for vegans and non-vegans alike.
Keeping their menu simple so they can perfect the favourites, there’s currently four burgers and a selection of classic sides, milkshakes and soft serve. We recommend the Chicken’d Out, with a side of cheesy disco fries and a thick, dairy free strawberry milkshake that’s reminiscent of the one we all grew up loving. Alongside the shakes, there’s a menu full of craft beers by local Fitzroy/Collingwood brewers and a selection of natural, vegan wines that have been exclusively made for Henry’s.
If you’re yet to indulge in fast food that doesn’t cost the earth, we highly suggest giving it a try.
