From the moment you step down Meyers Place you know you are in for an amazing time. Embellished with shimmering walls (that you could probably see from space) and painted cobble stones, you can’t miss the front of Loop Rooftop Bar! You are engulfed by excitement from the moment you enter the Laneway, which only continues once you ascend the stairway up to your seat in heaven.
Serving views since 2013, Loop Roof Level 3 offers sweeping views of the city, delicious food and a cocktail list that will make anyone happy. Don’t have too many drinks yet though, because there is an additional Level 4 that was built in 2019 that offers you more drinks and the chance to wine and dine in the heavens– and yes, that means more stairs, but trust me it’s worth it for the killer view!
As you gossip with your friends and overlook the stunning views of the CBD, you will be surrounded by an oasis. This exotic greenery of hanging vines, plants and trees transports you to a garden space that even Mother Nature would approve of.
Now as all Melbournians know, we can often get four seasons in one day, so usually when you pre-plan an outing, outdoor venues are out of the question in case there is rain, it’s too windy or perhaps even too hot for you to stand… well worry no more! Loop Roof Level 3 offers protection from the elements with retractable awnings, heaters, and misters for those really hot days.
Although we could keep talking about the dizzying heights and stunning scenery, let’s talk about what we all are interested in here: the food and drinks!
With a menu with so many great choices, you can order for the table (or for yourself, we don’t judge here). Made by a friendly team of chefs, the menu offers share plates with crispy Roast Duck Arancini, Rice flour crumbed cauliflower. Beef Eye Fillet Skewers and Salt and Pepper Calamari- just to name a few of our faves.
That isn’t even a fraction of the menu though, with Loop Rooftop Bar offering a variety of pillowy Bao Buns, grazing boards with cheeses, olives, dips and pickles as well as smaller starters with Edamame, Cured Salmon, Tempura Nori crackers and sweet potato fries. Seriously, get in my belly please!

Now we definitely haven’t forgotten about the drinks, as Loop Roof offers a variety of creative and fun cocktails, having a drink for everyone on your table! If you aren’t a cocktail person, have no fear as there is no shortage of tap beers, locally sourced wines, and other non-alcoholic options for our friends who don’t want to drink.
For those who love their fizzy drink (particularly anything orange flavoured) we recommend Sunkist Fantasy! This drink is bursting with citrus flavours and is perfect for those who don’t like a strong taste of alcohol in their cocktails. Not only does it look pretty but it also tastes like the real thing…don’t believe us? Check it out for yourself.

If you don’t want to commit to staying out late, Loop also offers a Spanish Bottomless Brunch which consists of a delicious Paella cooked over fire by the chefs, with unlimited drinks. You get one serve of Paella and flowing Sangria, sparkling and Rose’, Furphy tap beer and soft drink- so go crazy and have fun!.
Available on Sundays between 12.30pm – 2.30pm or 3.00pm – 5.00pm, come dressed to impress and enjoy the beautiful spring weather, great atmosphere, clear views and good vibes with friends and family.
