There’s a lot more than meets the eye at The Craft & Co. The impressive Collingwood operation is first and foremost a brewery and distillery, where the team are wholly immersed in crafting unique drinking experiences.
But what you might not know is that when these guys aren’t producing award-winning beer & spirits, they’re producing first-class functions and events plus operating a micro-dairy, restaurant, cafe & bar.
The Craft & Co’s warehouse is a radiant blank canvas venue housing three dynamic function spaces. Offering a semi-private setting, The ‘Makers Bar’ can host 100 people in a cocktail environment or 60 comfortably seated. While the high ceilings and scattered foliage boast a refined elegance, the space is designed for more intimate functions but can also be used as a holding area for more casual pre-drinks and canapés.
Then there’s the striking Makers Hall, a beautiful private space with room for 200 in a cocktail setting or 140 seated. Whether it’s a milestone birthday or engagement party, this spacious venue can be dressed up or down to suit the style of occasion.
But if it’s a larger celebration you’re planning, why not hire out the whole venue and combine the Makers Hall & Bar. Together the multi-level setting will cater for more than 250 people standing or 200 sitting.
With two diverse cocktail packages and a variety of serving options, the team at Craft & Co allow you to personalise your menu to suit the needs of your function. The menu includes delicious items such as gooey gruyere croquettes, fried chicken sliders and fresh oysters so your guests can enjoy sophisticated fare without being left hungry.
However if your event calls for sit down dining, choose the generous ‘share the craft’ package for lavish share-style food, or a classic 4 course sit down dinner. Of course Craft & Co also offers beverage packages for all functions of 40 people or more.
Sourcing all ingredients locally and incorporating house-made products where possible, Craft & Co’s menu features classic pub favourites with an artisan twist. Start with a refreshing gin-cured smoked salmon appetiser before tucking in to a juicy Wagyu burger with triple house cheese and beetroot relish. Finish on a sweet note with one of these boozy desserts; Limoncello mousse, gin and tonic tart or zabaglione with berries and Prosecco.
While a large proportion of The Craft & Co’s menu features their house-made beer and spirits, you’ll also notice a variety of cheeses feature in most dishes too. And for good reason. With a lengthy family history in the cheese industry, The Craft & Co team are experts in the art of cheesemaking and operate their very own micro-dairy. Try the award winning ricotta in their gnocchi, or even better get the cheesemakers choice tasting platter for $15 on a Saturday to try a variety.
Find all the best food and drink deals at Craft & Co with Wednesday $10 pizzas to get you through the work week or come in with the gang to get the $20 express lunch to enjoy shared pizzas and drinks. Or if breakfast is more your thing, wander in to the cafe on the weekend to enjoy their exclusive breakfast menu.
