Curtis Stone, Australia’s iconic celebrity chef.
The star of the show. We all know and love him.
We always see him on our TV as the fresh food and recipes ambassador for Coles.
The LA-living Melbourne boy has come back home to GRACE Melburnians with his first bricks-and-mortar venue in Australia. The Michelin-starred chef is opening his permanent 120-seater events space this November.
Located in Richmond, Grace is a sprinkle of the sparkle of luxe fine dining Hollywood glam. Doesn’t the room look like something out of a movie? The venue exudes a chic, contemporary Great Gatsby motif from the 1920s.
This gorgeous function space is perfect for your next elegant extravaganza, from cocktail gatherings to multi-course meals. Yes, you’ll be feeling like a celebrity too.
It’s time to dress up. Heels for the ladies and black tie for the gents.
The designers at Studio Y have incorporated the thoughtfully considered ambient lighting, the delicate materiality of luminous brass accents, wainscoting with shades of green and an art deco-inspired mirror bar. For any special occasion, guests can add their own touches to make the event uniquely theirs.
The menus are being developed by Stone and Executive Chef Travis McAuley (formerly of the Press Club and the Hellenic Republic). Grace’s menus will highlight premium ingredients and draw inspiration from American and Australian dining trends.
You can anticipate seeing bespoke menus curated using naturally produced ingredients for weddings and corporate events or any event. You can get a sneak peek and a taste of Grace in two weeks at the Melbourne Cup Carnival (2022) when Stone’s company takes over Flemington’s nursery car park spaces.
In 2018, Stone launched Curtis Stone Events, his catering business in the US. Grace will be run by Curtis Stone Events, a collaboration between Stone, his brother Luke and business partner Chris Sheldon. This catering company has gone on to serve Gwyneth Paltrow, Netflix, Cartier, and Burberry, among other notable clientele. Pretty impressive hey?
The origin of the events space name is quite a wholesome name for a venue, once you find out the backstory. Stone has a history of naming his restaurants after significant figures in his life. Maude and Gwen are named after his grandmothers, Georgie after his niece, and the newest addition Grace, after Chris Sheldon’s daughter, his best friend and business partner.
It’s imperative that you act quickly because Curtis Stone Events will be taking reservations as of November. The venue even has its very own bridal suite/green room! This is the perfect space to wow your guests for weddings, parties and events.
