It’s too bad that mammoth’s are extinct, because I have a feeling that they would feel a great deal of privilege having this ultra-cool alehouse in Brisbane named after them. It’s a beautiful fusion of all things good in the world, beer in a great atmosphere, Woolly Mammoth in Fortitude Valley is an ultra-contemporary beer hall that even the German’s would get jealous of.
If I haven’t enticed you enough, then I give you two more reasons; Giant Jenga and Bocce in the beer garden…need I say more?
The story of the overall design was to create a landscape that is not just about going out and partying, but about interaction, superior ales with their 31 craft taps, cuisine and influential musical performances.
They have three distinct areas – the Alehouse, the Garden Bar and the Mane Stage, all of which are places where you can find delicious food and drinks, whether it be a cocktail on tap in the Garden Bar, or a quality craft beer from the Craft Bar, you’ll quickly start to wish the Ice Age didn’t happen so you could share a few with a great creature itself.
The Garden Bar is the perfect place for catching up with friends for a bite to eat and a few drinks, or make a night of it and move down to the Mane Stage to enjoy a live gig every weekend. It’s easy to see why Woolly Mammoth is one of the top venues in Brisbane, and every room is available for function hire.
Anywhere that serves beer gravy poutine or bacon fries with pretzel salt and mustard mayo has my tick of approval, but if all that good stuff isn’t your thing (because you’re not human), then don’t worry, their menu has heaps of other options that are perfect for sharing.
Woolly Mammoth is the ultimate hang out, whatever the weather, so pay respect for those no longer with us, and have a beer in the name of the great giants.
