The Collective Market

FLOWSTATE
The Arbour, Tribune Street, QLD
Flowstate is a venue space which has been transformed into a multi-use performance, gallery and gathering spot. The centerpiece of Flowstate is the art installation, Jem, created by Australian design studio ENESS. An interactive cage-style structure, Jem responds to people with sounds and light as they move around the steel skeleton.
Locals and visitors are invited to relax, to eat, to marvel at one of Queensland’s most compelling artworks, to witness new performance work in development, engage in workshops, and listen to fascinating discussions and cool beats all while reveling in the contemporary design.

The Sound Society
1 Parkland Boulevard, Brisbane City
Relax, escape life’s cares and soothe your soul at The Sound Society – Brisbane’s newest, free live music program. Held in two of the river city’s most spectacular parklands, South Bank and Roma Street. The Sound Society celebrates slowing down, great tunes, good company and Brisbane’s gorgeous climate.
All performances are set among towering, leafy trees and guaranteed chill vibes, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a solo outing. Food is also on the menu – bring along your favourite picnic snacks or grab a bite to eat from one of the on-site food vendors. And it will all be enjoyed under the shade of a tree, on lush green lawns, without pressing crowds and traffic noise. And did I mention that it’s free? Nirvana.

KNOCK OFF Free Comedy
119 Lamington St, New Farm QLD 4005
If you like your comedy free, funny and full of surprises look no further than Knockoff on Fridays. Each week, a variety of local and national comedians bring you the best one-liners, hilarious stories and side-splitting observations. This free Friday night comedy show runs from 6pm, and plays host to some of the biggest up-and-comers in Brisbane comedy. Plus, at the end of each month, Knockoff is home to Brisbane’s premier improv night thanks to the comedy stylings of ImproMafia. This isn’t one you want to miss!
