The décor at Pawpaw is superb, it’s like you’ve been transported to Bali without needing to leave Brisbane! The colourful murals and artwork outside are perfect for the ‘gram, and there’s even an adorable little takeout window to grab some coffee to go. They pride themselves on using Veneziano coffee beans to make some exceptional coffee. If you’re dining in you can treat yourself to a whole fresh coconut to really trick your mates into thinking you’ve jetted off to Bali or Thailand for the week.
Feeling a brunch feed to curb your Friday night hangover? One of the highlights is the Pink Pitaya Pancakes, with vanilla bean ice cream, white chocolate shard, berry coulis, meringue candy, fresh berries and pink crumble. If you’re craving something savoury then give Pawpaw’s Signature Hash a go, it’s potato hash cakes with poached eggs, pumpkin hummus, smashed avocado, dukkah, halloumi and beetroot relish, with the options to add bacon, grilled ham or smoked salmon.
Pawpaw Café also have an incredible dinner menu inspired by Southeast Asian flavours. This is open from Wednesdays to Sundays and bookings are essential if you want to pop in for dinner. There’s also banquet options for larger groups and BYO available. They’re ready with all your Thai favourites such as Pad Thai, Green Curry (Vegan or Wagyu) and Massaman Curry, with some more unique options in the mix as well like Massaman Beef Nachos and Cheeseburger Bao Buns. It’s also a fabulous place to head to after work for a cheeky drink with an extensive list of cocktails on offer, plus $29 cocktail jugs!
We know you’ve been dying to hear how you can get your face, your dog’s face or really anything printed on your coffee. Pawpaw Café can do 3D printing on your latte thanks to this amazing machine called the Ripple Maker. You can pick from numerous different designs, or download the app and get your own design digitally printed onto the froth on your coffee, whether that be an inspirational quote or a pic of your beloved furry friend. Yes it’s a bit over-the-top but also so freaking awesome.
Pawpaw Café also have the capacity to hold functions and events and can fit 60 guests in their Bali-chic Garden Room, which is separate to the main dining area of the café. With catering to suit seated and cocktail-style occasions, they can offer Thai buffets, banquets, table platters, canapes and more. Pawpaw Café specialise in gluten free, vegetarian and vegan, enabling them to tailor a food and drink package to suit any occasion.
