Mt Alexander Hotel
Modern Bistros

690-694 Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds, 3039

Mt Alexander Hotel also contains a modest Bistro capable of hosting up to 90 guests in a full sit down dining environment, including a private dining area for up to 20 people at one long table for those family celebrations or even local club gatherings.

Their Executive Chef Andrew Wright formerly of the Speakeasy Group (Eau de Vie, Nick n Nora's, Mjolner, Pearl Diver, Boilermaker House, The Sanderson) has sourced some of the best Australian produce to ensure your menu is full of quality ingredients handled with care to highlight the labours of love involved.

Beverage packages can be tailored to include your favourite drinks to ensure there's always something for everyone in your group, led by Noel Murphy (formerly Speakeasy Group & Rice Paper Scissors) the emphasis here is on mirroring the quality ingredients in the kitchen to the beverages available. Homemade syrups and infusions shine here to embody the sustainability at the core of the beverage program ensuring the drinks are varied and in season.

Pub classics ensure they touch all the right notes with an excellent selection of items from the grill including O'Connor Black Angus Sirloin and Rangers' Valley Wagyu Rump Cap to the meat focused Stone Axe Wagyu Burger. But their epic Parma featuring freshly shaved to order prosciutto, fresh buffalo mozzarella and aged pecorino with made in house sugo sauce just exemplifies the kitchen's approach to letting their produce shine. These dishes are paired with a very contemporary wine list focusing on local Victorian wines and modern techniques enabling Mt Alexander Hotel to keep the prices approachable so you can enjoy them in their own right or alongside the food.
