Galah is located south of the river in a second story warehouse on High St in Windsor – just a stones throw away from bustling Chapel St. This large cocktail bar + kitchen comes with an attached boutique bottle shop celebrating all things Modern Australiana. Bush natives and herbs are in abundance on both the beverage and food menus. The venue celebrates local produce with the majority of their wines and spirits hailing from this sunburnt country.

They pride themselves in eclectic, delicious cocktails featuring ingredients local and fresh – lemon myrtle, Davdison plum, strawberry gum, saltbush. Haven’t heard of any of these homegrown heroes? Try them alongside rum from the Northern Rivers or gin from Melbourne. Try the Gold Fashioned – lemon aspen bitters, rum and falernum – for stiff drinkers or the Botanique for a gin sour with a sweet lemon verbena and aniseed foam.

Galah is passionate about music – they host a weekly live jazz night every Thursday which plays host to some of Melbourne’s fiercest local talent. Friday’s and Saturday’s see a high energy vibe thanks to the house DJ’s who play vinyl from 7pm-1am every weekend.  Wednesday’s and Sunday’s you can rely on Galah to provide a late night adventure for all walks of life, with excellent wining and dining fare around the fireplace in the winter and the same in the summer, but with the sunshine instead thanks to their abundance of natural light that floods the space.

Join Galah for an intimate dinner or bring in the whole crew for drinks – they cater to large groups of up to 30 on the weekends and always make space for walk ins. The more the merrier.
