Dunning Kruger
Best Westside Bars

436 Lygon St, Brunswick East, 3057

The 'Dunning Kruger' effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have the mistaken belief that their ability is greater than it realistically is. Owners Gene Mills and Courtney Tuul first heard the term in an episode of 'This American Life' and were entertained by it - so much so that they decided to name their bar after it!

At Dunning Kruger there’s beer on tap and in bottle, plus four red wines, four whites, two sparklings and one rose, all by the glass - all personally hand picked by Mills himself. Tuul trained as a pastry chef and bakes at least two sweet, American-style pies every day. The decor boasts of beautiful tiles on the ceiling, ropey cables, dark timber and white-washed brick walls. Dunning Kruger is a place where you can kick-back, relax, have a glass of wine and munch on a slice of pie - try find a negative element in that sentence, I dare ya.
