Taking their name from the classic character in James Joyce’s Ulysses, Buck Mulligan’s is a stylish Irish whiskey bar, combined with a boutique bookshop specialising in Irish fiction, plays and poetry.

Their impressive bar stocks a wide range of Irish whiskies, along with whiskies from Scotland, America, Australia and Japan. They are constantly adding to their collection as new whiskies become available, their end goal being to boast the largest Irish whiskey selection in Australia. As well as good whiskey, there’s beer on tap, great local wines and spirits, as well as excellent coffee – Irish coffee is their specialty, with iced versions available on hot days.

Joining the drink offerings, there is a small tasty menu available that has a focus on hearty serves of quality Irish staples. Black pudding, smoked salmon, and ploughman’s platters are just some of the treats they have on offer which go perfectly alongside your drink of choice.

Buck’s offer a friendly low-key relaxed atmosphere, with good tunes playing, a real fireplace and a variety of great cocktails and snacks to enjoy…perfect any day of the week!
