Multi Venue Hire

At Abbotsford Convent, there are 31 spaces for hire on any given day – indoor and outdoor.

Spaces are available for community engagement, independent artists, community groups, corporates, and not-for-profits.

They facilitate anything from rehearsals, performances, exhibitions, workshops, classes, meetings through to live music, food and wine festivals, markets and special events.

Industrial School

The Industrial School at The Convent is a multi-use space that can be utilised for anything from exhibitions to live concerts, catered events, indoor markets and more.

The stretched, rectangular shape of the space, paired with some openings along the middle wall, enable a split to create two separate rooms, possible to connect and divide as required.

The room is also able to connect to the Sacred Heart Courtyard and the Magdalen Laundry for larger events.

Magdalen Laundry

The Convent's Magdalen Laundry, with its vaulted ceiling and clerestory windows, is a flexible space that can be imaginatively set up to accommodate a variety of large events, exhibitions, conferences, and performances.

Salon & Mural Hall

With a stunning view of the Convent Courtyard, this space boasts warm lighting, fireplaces, original decorative stencilling, hand-painted frieze and timberwork. Ideal for meetings and workshops, make it happen here.

Bishops Parlour

Next to the original formal entry to the Convent, this mid-sized space is adorned with high ceilings, formal curtains and a fireplace.

The grand Foyer of this parlour includes an expanse of leadlight windows, heritage terrazzo floor tiling and a classic mahogany fireplace.

Oratory

One of the most breathtaking spots in the Convent, discover polished floorboards, distressed walls, leadlight windows, a raised stage, single track dimmer lighting and a green room.

With so much to take in, this hall is ideal for any performance, rehearsal or installation.
