El Matador
Spanish Tapas Bar

15 Adelaide St, Brisbane CBD, 4000

Located in Brisbane CBD’s bustling Burnett Lane, El Matador is serving up authentic Tapas, Pinxtos and other Spanish delights.

Leo Castelluccio, of Melbourne venues Bakers Gallery, Cato and Graffiti Club, brought El Matador to Brisbane to bring a vibrant, genuine Spanish atmosphere to the electric Burnett Lane precinct.

The menu is extensive, featuring plenty of fresh, Australian seafood; sourced from farmers around the country. Their massive tapas menu is also a highlight, with something to please any eater, no matter how picky. They perfectly blend the time honoured style of Spanish cooking and fresh Australian produce.

Plentiful Spanish alcoholic beverages are available, from refreshing beers and ciders to a massive list of wines, both from Spain and from local wineries and everything in-between. Specialty cocktails and assorted spirits are also offered, as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

In addition to their delicious and vast main menu, El Matador also serves breakfast from 7-11am Monday through to Saturday. With breakfast dishes like their classic Spanish tortilla with cheese and crispy onions, to corn fritters with smoked pimento labneh, and a variety of fresh-baked pastries and breads, mornings are just made better with a quick trip to El Matador.

The contemporary furnishings enhance the relaxed atmosphere of the dining room and make it a beautiful venue for any occasion. Its laneway location in the heart of the CBD also makes it easy to access but retains an air of exclusivity and secrecy.

El Matador is open for venue hire on Sundays. With various booking packages, their space can suit a variety of events from wedding receptions to business conferences. With their talented team of events staff, you will be in good hands.
