It’s the little can who, well – can. Born and bred in Adelaide from humble beginnings in 2016, Riot Wine Co had one mission in mind – to provide the country with super sustainable and super tasty wine. Spoiler alert:  they have not disappointed.

They set out to make the world a little bit nicer by moving away from bottled wines and keeping their produce 100% stored and poured in steel kegs and aluminium cans. To us Average Joe’s, the simplest explaination is that cans keep the wine a whole lot fresher, because they’re sheltered from UV rays and oxidisation, both of which change the delicate balance and taste of a wine. Plus, they’re a lot more sustainable than glass bottles which makes the deal even sweeter.

Not happy to stop there, the Riot Wine Co. team wanted to bring tastings in to the city for easy and convenient consumption. And so it was that, The team wanted to bring tastings into the city for easy and convenient consumption so The Cannery was launched; a funky, urban space which hosts tastings and events alike. Open for tastings from Wednesday – Sunday between 11am – 4pm, you can book to come down and try the exclusive tap and canned wines at your leisure.

The public are encouraged to come in and learn from the wine makers about Riot’s approach to wine and the sustainable process in which they make their delicious drops, whilst trying the produce out themselves (obviously).

The Cannery also plays host to tonnes of cool events, such as guided yoga with a can of wine on completion, and a spritz-centric night with good tunes, good food and even better wine.

The space is also available for exclusive hire for up to 150 guests. Their quirky colour scheme and open plan bar is the perfect backdrop for any occasion, from birthdays to engagements to corporate networking nights.
