Some of the dark delicacies to be consumed on the night include a blackened turkey, gravlax bathed in squid ink mustard and ash pavlova. Throughout your evening, your dinner will also be punctuated by sounds of violinists performing inside a large snowglobe. Curiouser and curiouser!

Oktoberfest @ Mt Baw Baw
Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort, Baw Baw Village

Braze the cold to celebrate everyone’s favourite German festival on the 28th of July up in the heights of Mt Baw Baw, complete with German food, a large roster of German beers and even a traditional German band by the name of “Hofbrass”!

Toss a log playing a game of ‘klop‘ before chowing down on some bratwurst and pretzels prepared by a mix of local and international chefs. If the trek to the mountains is an issue, why not take the Snow Train that leaves from Melbourne and travels through Gippsland all the way up to the top? Sounds like a trip to be remembered.

  • When? 28th of July – 29th of July.
  • Where? Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort.
  • How much? Absolutely free to attend!
