When you think of Melbourne’s China Town, it’s a given that you think of cheap dumplings, dodgy alleyways and unbearable $6 wine, right? Think again.
A brand new funky and hip dumpling joint has opened up in the heart of China Town and is breaking all the boundaries.
Drumplings is a unique, modern dining experience which offers a global twist on the traditional Chinese fav. From the founder of MOR Cosmetics and the super popular Glamping Hotel in the CBD, Drumplings is the newest innovative venture to come about.
You can find truffle mushroom dumplings, chilli con carne dumplings and fish n chip dumplings! Their signature dish is the cheeseburger dumpling, made from a beef pattie, cheese, pickles, mustard and sesame seeds, hand crafted and wrapped into a dumpling.
They’ve also stuck to their origins and have all the traditional dumplings you could imagine. Another crowd pleaser are their ‘fries’, which are actually salted pork crackling, could it get any better?
The interior definitely has the cool factor with bright pink quirky wall paper, black park benches and spots of greenery. There’s even an uber cute courtyard with a butterfly wall!
The energy is high and oozes old-school charm and modern characters. Drumplings is the newest addition to the China Town scene that you and your crew must visit.
