Hofbräuhaus Schnitzel Challenge

Grab yourself the biggest parma (or parmi if you’re not from Melbourne and your spelling is slightly incorrect) in the city by visiting the very popular Bavarian restaurant, Hofbräuhaus on Market Lane. If you’re brave enough and have the appetite to finish a 1.5kg parma, bowl of chips and 1 litre stein of beer, you will be rewarded with the entire meal for free PLUS a proud-winner’s t-shirt! However if you can’t quite get through the monster meal, you’ll be forking out $75.


Massive Weiners Hot Dog Challenge

Test your appetite with the city’s largest hot dog at Massive Wieners. Join the ‘Wall of Fame’ if you can eat the delicious hot dog in under 5 minutes or see your face plasted on a polaroid picture on the wall in the section titled ‘Wall of Shame’. There’s also a section called ‘Did Not Finish’ so you bets make sure your photo goes up on the least shameful part of the wall.


Seafood and Pizza Challenge at Critini’s

Spoil yourself with a one-metre long board of seafood and be spoiled by Critini’s Italian restaurant with a one-year VIP Eat Free card! If you are an avid seafood lover, try smashing the selection of king prawns, oysters, soft shell crab, grilled barramundi, grilled salmon, kingfish carpaccio, octopus, fresh salmon and tuna, fritters, scallops, calamari and more. Critini’s also give you an opportunity to win the exclusive Eat Free card through two other challenges: eat one metre of pizza or get a friend and you both have to eat a one metre pizza each within an hour.


Misty’s Diner Burger Challenge

Misty’s American-styled diner truly represents the American appetite. In 14 minutes, try to eat the 5 burgers, 5 slices of cheese, 5 slices of bacon, 3 buns, mayo, BBQ sauce, fries and coke. If you manage to join the group of nearly 300 winners out of the 2000 who have attempted to finish the burger, you will get a free t-shirt for your endeavours!


The Grandeoso Parma Challenge

Enjoy a choice of over 10 parma toppings as you try your luck with The Hotel Albion’s Double Parma Challenge. You must finish two huge parmas stacked together with double chips and a salad in under 30 minutes. If you manage to finish the feat, the pub lets you try winning prizes on the ‘Wheel of Glory’.


60 Buffalo Wings in 60 Minutes Challenge

Try to eat a whopping 2kg of wings in under 60 minutes at Fitzroy’s The Kodiak Club to be featured on the wall of fame and to get the wings for free. If you lose however, you’ll have to pay $95 to cover the wings. It might not be the huge amount of wings holding you back but more the extra spicy chilli sauce that the wings are drowning in.
